That's a great overview.

My favorite has always been Seth (or Set, Seti). I think the bizarre story involving him, Osiris, and Isis was the inspiration for my interest, at least as a kid. Also the fact that his head is of an unidentifiable animals is interesting. Is it a mythical creature? An extinct animal? A hybrid (inversion magic at work?)?

Also his association with the chaos of the open desert and the harshness of the lands surrounding the protected land of Egypt also lends to him a certain mysteriousness. He is an ambiguous god, extremely powerful but not necessarily beneficent.

Iv always been a fan of underworld Gods, the Goddesses of Love and the God or Goddesses of war. They always seem to have more interesting stories attached with them.

It is hard to say if I have a favorite because I never studied this kind of topic before this class. I am however, interested in the God and Goddesses of love. love stories are interesting because they often hold more tragedies than love affairs. One that really caught my eye was Taweret. This goddess seemed to be really accommodating instead of evil.

I find Horus the god of the sky to be my favorite. I find it interesting the feats that humans have achieved, flying included

I don't have a favorite, there are a frw that I like. I do find it interesting that so many god and godesses were bothers and sisters along with husbands and wive. Kind of unexpected. One that I do find interesting is Tawaret. I would never have put that combination of animals together. Very odd indeed.

I think my favorite would have to be Anubis. While Ra may be king of the gods, it is anubis that will rule in the end because everything has an end but death. Even the sun will die in time, and Anubis will rule all.

I have two favorites. My favorites are the sisters, Nephthys and Isis. I find it really cool that they are both protecters. I like that the Egyptians not only worshipped men, but women too.

Egyptian mythology was really what created my interest in all of the ancient mythologies. As for my favorites, I've always found the story of Osiris, Seth, and Isis to be very intriguing. It's kind of like an ancient soap opera :)

Hippos are my favorite animals, so I'd have to say Tawaret is my favorite! It it curious how these gods were assembled. How did their different animal/human parts aid in their quest to help or harm us? Some are obvious, others, leave me bewildered like Tawaret's hippo head.

Ra has always been my favorite. He is the eternal sun, without him mankind is in darkness. Plus he is a dude.

Mm, Anubis has always been a favourite of mine, even when I was a child, back when my fascination with embalming and gods of the dead were at it's peak. I think I still have a small statue of him lining my bookcase back home.

Anubis & Tawaret appear to be among the favorites... if you can make it past the former in Duat, you'll get to see the latter in Sekhet Aaru!
